hana's tubes

we were originally scheduled to be at surgecare at 7:30 this morning. well, friday i got a call that they had had a cancellation and we were to be there at 6:30... which involved me getting up at a horrible pre-dawn hour! but other than that the day was a breeze. we got there and checked in. they called us back to pre-op about 15 minutes later. we were in pre-op for about 45 minutes. they took her back with no problem (one of my worries). we went back out to the waiting room and the surgeon came and told us she was done about 10 minutes after that. they called us to get her in another 10 minutes. we then held her while she woke up (she did cry and whimper some as she was waking up... that is normal... but a little sad). she woke up, ate crackers and drake juice and she was ready to go. we were home by about 8:15! she snoozed a little on the ride home and ate a lot when we got here. but by about 10:00... she was back to normal! i had planned to bring my camera to document... but forgot it this morning (it was early!).

so i took a picture of her about 10:00...

then i told her she was supposed to look sick... this is what i got :)

needless to say she is up and pretty much back to her normal self. this was 1ooo times better than her previous out-patient surgery 2 years ago!that was a long and horrible day!

and this time they gave her green socks, not the famous red ones :)
with some beautiful flowers to cap off the morning... thank you so much nanny!!
all in all it was an easy day :)
