we decided to head to the aquarium this morning. this was the first time that we had not been on a "free day" or a saturday. this was our first trip using our passes (thanks nanny!!). we got passes to the WNC nature center for christmas... why the WNC nature center you ask? well we can get into the ashboro zoo, all aquariums, and the greensboro natural science center. anyway, back to today. we got to the aquarium and the parking lot look kind of slim... we got inside (for free!) and we were the ONLY people in the place. it was wonderful!
the alligators are always popular!

we stayed at the "touching center" for probably 20 minutes. the girls got to look at and touch what they wanted. they were very brave and touched just about everything!
then we went down and the divers were in the big tank. and since we were the only ones there, they did the whole show for us! hana got to talk to the divers through the microphone. they even swam up and touched hana's hand's through the glass... it was pretty cool.

and right as we were getting ready to leave, they feed the fish in one of the other tanks... pretty cool!
on the way home we stopped at the carolina beach park and ate our picnic lunch. and the girls played for a few minutes (a very few minutes because it was COLD!)

i think they had a fun morning... i KNOW i did!

I LOVE all of those photos! So cute! I would love to bring Tay to the aquarium one day. You'll have to let me in on the secret free day schedule ;)
Okay...let's redefine our understanding of cold... a sweatshirt jacket because it's windy in the 50s does not count! I love the picture of Hana through the hole!
