new stuff!

i realize that time has gone by with no posts... so i thought i would just do a big update all at once :)

• i am training for yet another half... this one is march 20th.  i am not as motivated this time around.  i mean i am training.  it just isn't quite as exciting. my goal is to make my time faster... so i am working on that during my short runs.  that at least gives me a goal!
• hana is half way through her kindergarten year... crazy!! she is almost 6! we are planning her party (it is her year for a big one). time flies!
• brooke is still brooke.  she is cute and can be very charming.  but she is very whiny (as is hana).   we got away from whining for a few months, but now it is back in full swing!
• madeline always amazes me.  she is almost 17 months and is still tiny.  she is putting 2 (sometimes 3) words together. she said "dank yoo book" (which is thank you brooke) today.  we are working on her animals, shapes, and colors.  she is really coming into her personality.  climbing on things... saying no... fun times!
• jack is super busy at work.  which is good and bad.  he is really busy, but he does get to do overtime, which is always helpful!
• we are in the process of looking for a dog.  we have been for a while...months.  but our criteria is VERY strict.  we want 40 (at most 50) pounds, with short hair or hair that doesn't shed.  we like pointers or greyhounds.  they are very active, but that is ok since i am running several times a week. we will see what happens. i am sure you will know if we get one.
• i am working on some sewing projects.   I DID NOT SEW THIS ONE! but this is what i am working on.  tshirt dresses for the girls.  one of my friends came over yesterday to show me how to get started.  she made this one while teaching me how to do it.  i will try to make the other 2 ;) i may try to add a bow or something... i am still playing around with it :) it is all new to me! ill let you know how it goes!

 

i thought i would end this update with some -isms...  

both of these happened today ;)

Brooke- she was eating goldfish in the car. "mom did you know that the goldfish are swimming around in my tummy?" 

Hana- when hana got home from school today she jumped up to give me a big hug. she said "it is getting hard for you to hold me." i said "yes, you are getting so big!!" to which she answered... "yeah and you are getting so old."
