halloween take 2

since saturday was halloween, we dressed up the girls and headed over to leland to meet jimmy, hilary, and taylor for some fun leland-style. they had a trunk-or-treat at their town hall. it very much made me miss our church's trunk-or-treat (we didn't have it this year...). i really don't like halloween, i don't like what it stands for or what people do. but since we have always done something church-sponsored i never really minded it. this year, just reminded me why i don't like halloween (not at all because of leland). most of the costumes were scary, there was even one kid dressed in the "scream" costume that had blood pouring over his mask... gross! not that the scary costumes were only in leland... no they were here when we got back to our neighborhood to trick-or-treat. i am amazed at how much people do and decorate for this holiday. one house down the street even had a smoke machine... really people, isn't there something else you should be doing with your time??!! well whatever... we dressed up, got candy, and had a great time. here are the pictures.

hopefully next year our church will do the trunk-or-treat thing again... if not we will have to find another church sponsored function that we can crash!
