today a couple of notable things happened with hana. nothing too bad, but worth sharing.
on the way to preschool we passed a construction sight (with piles and piles of sand) and hana asked what they were doing. i told her that they were building something. she said "i think they are building a sandcastle"... priceless.
on the way home from preschool hana seemed a bit upset so i asked her what was wrong. she said that she didn't get a sticker from "ms. lisa". i asked her why... she said "because i wasn't doing what i was supposed to". i asked what she didn't do. she said that she didn't sing during singing time. (it is a good time to stop and reiterate hana's love for singing. she is constantly singing... to brooke... to me... to nobody. it doesn't matter, she is singing). when i said "but hana you love to sing, why didn't you sing" she said "i didn't want to sing with anyone else".
ok so we now know that hana would much rather sing by herself than in a group... ummm ok. nice to learn that she really does like being the center of attention.

Totally priceless. She is most definitely yours. Not because you like to sing solo, but...well, you aren't exactly what they'd call "shy". I guess she got that stand-out-in-a-crowd character from her mama :)
that's hilarious. her independent singing, spotlight imagination - and even more hilarious b/c i can totally hear your voice as i read your blog. good stuff :)
