Fall Festival

We decided to go to a Fall Festival at a local park. There were booths and other activities, unfortunately they were mostly for older children. With Jack being gone, it was a chance to meet some friends and get out of the house.

Although I think it was more trouble than it was worth. I started out with both kids in the double jogging stroller but by the end I was carrying Brooke, Hana was walking, and I was pushing an empty stroller. Hana did enjoy some of the booths.

She got to color.

The beginning of the end, as it turned out, was the application of a tattoo sticker on Hana's hand.

She decided to wipe it off after the application. And cried about it for the next 10 minutes. I told her that if she continued to cry we were going home. She, of course, continued to cry so we headed for the car. The ENTIRE walk to the car she was sobbing saying "I not crying, I don't want to go home. I not crying." The outing did not end so well, but it was a nice day to get out of the house :)

Man-and Steven is only 7 months...it will be years before he can enjoy the things I'm excited about!

The festivals are great fun but the kids lose interest fast. It was that same way at the Lexington BBQ. We only lasted about 4 hours.
