-isms :)

Over the last few weeks each child has said their share of funny things.  I don't want to ever forget the adorable things they say. I mean you never know when it might come in handy... dates, weddings, yearbook pages, you just never know!  Here is a blog dedicated to these humorous moments :)

Hana-ism
Hana came home from school on Friday and began telling me about a project they had done at school.  They pretended to interview a famous African-American.  I asked her who she interviewed.  She answered "Okra" "Who??!!" I asked.  "Okra, you know the reporter."
Right... I guess that could be Oprah's veggie tales character :)

Today after church I took Hana out to lunch.  After lunch she asked
"Can I play a video game"  "No"
"Can I get a gumball" "No"
"Can we walk around the Dollar Store?" "No"
"Daddy is a lot more fun than you!"
Nice

Brooke-ism
Brooke has asked me several times if we can get anther dog.  I tell her no, we have enough going on in our house, we don't need another dog.  So she asked me again in the car one day "Can we get 3 dogs?" Me- "No, Brooke, we can not get 3 dogs." Brooke- "Well, when you die I will get 3 dogs!!!"
Why does Mommy have to die?? Ugh!

Madeline-ism
(Madeline has had a lot of these funny things lately... these are just the only ones I can remember at the moment)

I was changing Madeline's clothes and I still had her shirt off.  She said she really needed another one.  I asked why?  To which she answered "My belly button is hiding."

Madeline likes to pretend her hands are baby crabs.  One hand is the good crab and one hand is the bad crab... she likes to make them fight.  She will also tie up the "bad" crab with a string... this is one of her favorite activities in the car :)

I often say to Madeline "hey Baby".  To which she says "I not a baby.  I Madeawyn"

Madeline and daddy were 'wresseling' on the couch.  He had her kind of pinned down and she looked over to me and said "Can I have a little help here?" :)

I hope you have enjoyed reading these as much as I have enjoyed living them :) Love life with three girls!!

Hana is 7!

I soooo can't believe Hana turned 7 on Saturday! They just grow up soooo fast! I can still vividly remember the day she was born!!
The big present from us this year was an American Girl doll!  Apparently these dolls have been around for awhile.  A lot of my friend remember them from growing up (in fact Jack's sisters' each had one).  I am not sure if we were slightly before their time or if we had a generic version that I just don't remember. You know. Generic. Like our "only members" jackets... or the fake Keds that I had to color a blue label on the back... ;)
Anyway :) Hana got a doll that looks like her.  Red curly hair with blue eyes.  She loves it!!!

Reading her cards!! The first year she has been able to do this!!
Opening presents
Her doll!!
 loving her doll!!
Her chef stuff! Thanks Nana and Poppy!
 birthday lunch with Daddy~
Making cookies with her new chef stuff!!
Then Sunday we had her Birthday dinner at Chuck E Cheese.  We do a family dinner with a couple of friends when it isn't their year for a big party.  Mimi was also able to join us for the fun!!
Hana rocked skeeball!! Look at her score!!  And she wasn't even done!!
She got into the 10,000 hole several times throughout the night!!
 blowing out her birthday cupcake!
Going to bed with matching PJs for her and her doll!! Thanks Mimi!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Hana!!

A big bunch of UPDATES!!

Yes, yes, I know I have been VERY bad about updating this blog.  I have been loving asked to do some new posts :) So here you go!! What has been going on with us in the last few months??? Ask and you shall receive... updates for everyone and everything!!

Jenna...
It has been a big month for the newest member of our family! She has gotten a new house/cage.  She has been neutered, is taking training classes, and had her first hair cut by me! It went pretty well :) She is still cute!

Hana...
Hana turned 7!! (more on that in the next post!)
She is doing great in school.  Her reading has really improved!! She is above where she "should" be at this point in the year.
She still has not lost any teeth... I guess that is what happens when you get your first teeth really late!
She is enjoying riding the bus.  So far it is a good experience.  She loves it and the other 2 girls can nap when I am waiting for the bus.  It is a win win!

Brooke...
She got stuck climbing on the fence...

I'm getting ready for her "dragon" party in about a month!
I can't believe Brooke will be 5! And I will be registering her for Kindergarten very soon! She is still cute and still herself!!She is really enjoying her preschool class.  She loves going and loves her teachers.  This is the first time we have done the 4 year old program at the preschool (Hana went somewhere different when she was 4).  So far we have been happy with what Brooke is learning (although I wish they would focus on God a little more).

Madeline...
She is doing great potty training.  She is BY FAR the easiest one! She started going really easy and rarely has accidents.  The only thing we have trouble with is pooping in the potty.  She does have accidents with that every so often.  It is gross, but still the by far the easiest potty training yet!
She is still SUPER verbal.  Sometimes I forget how verbal she is for her age! She is still tiny (as is Brooke). She only weighs 22 pounds and is 2 1/2!
I have registered her for preschool next year :)
In this picture she made me some "tea" (A cup full of golf tees)... so cute!!

Me...
I am training for my 3rd half on March 18... I have been running with a large group of women.  We do our long runs every Saturday.  We did 9 miles last weekend and will do 10 this Saturday :) This is from our 9 mile run on Saturday... yes, I have my eyes closed!
I was really busy with photography over Christmas which means I am taking it easy now.  I still have several sessions left to blog.  I just get burnt out and need some time to recover :) I hope to be able to take one of my 3 mornings a week (in the fall) and spend time on photography.  I already have some things scheduled for this year! I am also looking to upgrade my camera :) So some exciting thins coming up!
I love my new IPhone (that I got for Christmas) in fact all of the pictures from this post are from my phone.  It is great that it is always with me... so I don't miss a thing :)

Jack...
He is enjoying his new job! I think the "honeymoon" time is over and it is back to just being "work".  But I KNOW he is much happier at his new place! And his new job (and new salary) is allowing us to be paying off our dept at a faster pace (although NEVER fast enough!!)! And it allowed some of the pressure to be taken off of me to go back to work right away.  I would still love to teach preschool, but I don't have to look for anything full time right a way.
He still has the same car... it has been almost a year! That may be a record!
We went out on a date a few weeks ago.  We went to The Little Dipper (fondue)... such a fun time!!

Christmas! part 2

There was so much fun over Christmas, it had to be broken into 2 posts! Now on to Christmas morning!!

 Lots of fun new presents!!
 Some were VERY loved!!

Then some time to play with the new presents!!

ALL the kids had fun playing with the new presents!
Kids young and old ;)
Merry Christmas!!

Christmas! part 1

We went to Greensboro for Christmas.  A couple of days before Christmas we went to a very tacky light display that was about 45 minutes from my parent's house.  And tacky it was!! There were lights everywhere! The kids enjoyed walking around and looking at all of the craziness!

Drinking hot chocolate with cousins at the end of the night :)

Madeline checking out the lights :)
Now on to Christmas Eve... before the candle light service, we did some pictures :)

Then to the service :)

Cousins in matching PJs... what could be cuter??!!
why... tacky Christmas sweaters of course!!??
